Preparing for Storytelling-Worthy Adventures

For months and months and months, I work while dreaming of my next vacation. I love my job but making memories with my little family around the world is better than anything else…in the world.

This adventure, we decided to give ourselves a full day to pack and prepare before leaving. What an excellent idea! For the first half of the day, I felt panicked that I wouldn’t be able to figure it all out with the little toddler running around. Every time I turned around, she was removing the items I had just packed!

Finally her nap allowed me to put a large dent in the project. The moment I was done packing, the life stress melted away. Even some of the work stress too. My spirits immediately lifted. It became a bright, bright sun shiny day.

With the trip preparation complete, I had a little spare time (when does that ever happen anymore?!?). I set out to get a few other projects checked off my life list. The feeling of accomplishing even little tasks in life is generally wonderful. But doing it before a vacation so you can enjoy every second worry-free is even better. That rare feeling of perfect life balance settles in providing extra enjoyment.

Now the excitement has really kicked in. The flitter and lightness in your heart or maybe your soul. The anticipation of the adventures to come. Some carefully planned, others – just ideas to loosely guide the path. Because the time has finally come when all you have to do is have amazing, storytelling-worthy travels!
