There are countless places to enjoy Colorado whitewater rafting and tubing. From the raging waters of the Arkansas River through Browns Canyon or the Royal Gorge, to other incredibly beautiful places like the Yampa River as it flows through Dinosaur National Monument, you’ll find adventure around every corner. Rafting and whitewater rafting are recreational outdoor activities that use an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other body of water. This is often done on whitewater or different degrees of rough water. Dealing with risk and the need for teamwork is typically an integral part of the experience. Rafting on some sections of rivers is considered an extreme sport, and can be fatal, while other sections are not so extreme or difficult.
Not up for rafting? You can also enjoy tubing in places like the Animas River in Durango, Boulder Creek in Boulder, Clear Creek in Golden, and the Cache la Poudre River in Fort Collins.
