Ullr: [Oo-lar]

noun 1. Ullr is the Patron Saint or God of Skiing.  2.  Commonly referred to by skiiers and snowboarders as the God of Snow.  Word Origin: Norse.

Breckenridge hosts Ullr Fest each year in January – a week-long festival dedicated to winning his favor to increase the snow fall.   Add it to the bucket list!  (And start praying to Ullr – we really could use a lot more snow this year!)

Bonus pop culture reference: check out the Colorado cult classic Scrapple.
