Kiln Coffee Bar

Kiln Coffee Bar Entrance

There is almost nothing better than a fresh cup of coffee on a crisp morning. Upon entering Kiln Coffee Bar, you are immediately engulfed by the sweetness of fresh brew and a clean, minimal, and warm atmosphere. In spite of opening just a few months ago, Kiln has already established itself as a shop looking to make a permanent impact in Grand Junction’s downtown area.

Kiln Coffee Bar presents a straightforward menu and maintains a knowledgeable and talented staff. They have drip coffee, teas, fresh made pastries by Sweet Kiwi Cookies, and various espresso styles–uncluttered by trendy flavors — but instead with such delights as oat milk and homemade vanilla syrup. For their fresh brew, they go well beyond just your standard drip coffee. Kiln offers four methods of brewing: French Press, Chemex, V60, and Aeropress. Each method brings out different flavors and depth in the coffee.  Kiln Coffee Bar features various Colorado roasters on a seasonal rotation.

As part of their mission statement, Kiln wants to bring people together over quality coffee, and they are certainly striving to do so. Kiln provides the perfect environment for university students by offering discounts during “study hours” and featuring various giveaways. There is also local artwork on display, all of which is for sale and occasionally feature artists for the First Friday Art Walks. Local musicians are welcome and concerts are hosted from time to time.
