Donate to Colorado Public Radio on Colorado Gives Day

Growing up in rural Colorado, many hours were spent navigating the washboard dirt roads between my house and town. I fondly recall sitting next to my father as a child in his tan 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser (aka the Beast) with the radio cranked up and a dust plume behind us. The dial was always set to Colorado Public Radio.

And that is how lifelong habits are formed. No matter where I find myself in Colorado, the first thing I do when I get into a car is scan the tuner until I find the local CPR station. In the mountains, it is usually 88.3 FM, and in Denver, 90.1 FM. Here is a handy map to find the best CPR stations throughout the state.

In honor of Colorado Gives Day – a statewide movement to encourage donating to your favorite nonprofit organizations – please consider supporting Colorado Public Radio. Or if you have a special connection to another Colorado nonprofit, donate to that organization! And please share with us your favorite stories about Colorado nonprofits that hold a special place in your heart or had an impact on your life.
