One of our favorite events to do this time of year is take in the brilliant seasonal lights at the Denver Zoo. From peacocks and dragons to gorillas and giraffes, the illuminations at Denver Zoo Lights provide fun for all ages. It’s exhilarating to watch children’s eyes and smiles shine so brightly! And for the adults in the crowd, we highly recommend warming up with a mug of hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps that the concessionaires offer.

Zoo Lights will span through 70 acres of the Denver Zoo campus, with nightly entertainment, animal encounters, Santa meet-and-greets and, of course, illuminated animal sculptures. The various sculpture swing through trees, jump across lawns, hide in bushes, and appear in places where they’re least expected. Zoo Lights runs from December 2 through January 1, 5:30pm – 9pm each evening.
