People seem to either completely love or loath Avery’s El Gose. It is a German-style sour ale with a twist of lime and sea salt.  It hits your tongue with a slightly sour, citrusy punch.  However, it’s light enough to be sessionable. It finishes off like a normal wheat beer – the sourness is nearly nonexistent on the back end. It’s a solid Colorado beer for all seasons, but it probably goes down best on a hot summer day.

“A timeless, traditional tart gose (goes-uh) with its zesty and salty disposition is brightened by a tangy citrus twist. A bier for every día!” – Avery Brewing Company

As you can see in the photo below, El Gose pours with a little bit (maybe an inch) of head and has a hazy, copper color.  Avery got the carbonation just right on this one.  Enjoy!
